Hi! I’m Adri and I make art.
I am Adriana Monteagudo, a 23-year-old visual artist and teacher based in Miami, Florida. My work centers people and the natural world.
I would describe myself as a realist painter who dabbles in impressionism with a modern flare.
In addition to making my personal work, fulfilling commissions is an amazing process - it’s my opportunity to make other artistic visions come to life!
Through my lessons, I share my knowledge with other emerging artists; both as a Student-Instructor at Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) and as a private instructor doing 1-on-1, at-home lessons.
I hope my work will pique your interest.
HISTORY
I have been drawing since the young age of 8, where I made my very first portrait (of my father). Since then, I’ve always had a deep passion for art.
At around 15 years old, I began studying at MIFA (formerly known as Chiaroscuro Atelier). Here is where passion turned into skill.
Under the careful guidance of expert artists Elkin Cañas, Milixa Morón, and Carlos Martinez-Leon, I studied the painting techniques of the 19th century and unlocked my potential for depicting realistic subjects.
